Ex-footballer Vinnie Jones rejected Ryan Reynolds' movie plea over 'mental toll'
Vinnie Jones revealed he rejected an opportunity from Ryan Reynolds to star in Deadpool 3.
Jones, 59, was one of the most feared players in Wimbledon's iconic 'Crazy Gang' who went on to shock Liverpool in the 1988 FA Cup Final. However, he has also played a wide variety of villains, including the role of 'Bullet Tooth Tony' in Guy Ritchie's legendary British gangster film Snatch.
Yet, the former midfielder may best be known for his role as 'the Juggernaut' in X-Men the Last Stand. When asked by the Hollywood hero and Wrexham co-owner to don the metal suit, just as he did in 2006, Jones could not get himself up for the role.

"Funnily enough I just got asked to do Deadpool, the new one now, and I spoke to the director and I just said 'It's such a drama putting that suit on mentally and physically'," Jones said in an interview with Yahoo UK.
"I mean it had its mental toll as well, because you're in it and you can't do anything all day, you can only drink through a straw. So we couldn't strike the deal for Deadpool [& Wolverine]."

He added: "But Deadpool's my favourite movie of all f***ing time more or less. I really wanted to do it, but they didn't have the budget to put me in the suit." While the suit sounds like an ordeal to put on, Jones has also previously described his experience of being in X-Men as "a shambles".
“The new director came on and it was not the same role as I had signed on to do,” Jones said, when asked about his experience filming X-Men. “They diluted the dialogue …The director brought in so many moving parts and so many other actors that mine got diluted.
Luke Littler darts fans can back 'The Nuke' in Premier League with his playing shirt

Luke Littler fans can now buy the 17-year-old's playing shirt to support him as he continues to demonstrate his talent in the Premier League.
The darts sensation was only 16 when he wowed Alexandra Palace at the World Darts Championship (WDC), despite a final loss to Luke Humphries.
The Nuke will continue playing against seven of the best dart players in the world — Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross and Peter Wright — in a mini-tournament in a different city every Thursday until the final in May.
"I lost all interest quite early because I knew they were just taking me along … I was very upset really. It was such a big stage and I became an extra, that’s what happened."
He added: “I was going in and going, 'Where is all my dialogue? Where is the storyline?' For me it was a shambles and it was a shame.”
