Horse No 1 DIAMOND DIAMOND (H189) L Hewitson From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the 400 Metres was shifted to the outside of TACTICAL COMMAND to continue into clear running.

Horse No 2 DRAGON DELIGHT (G395) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 DARCI LEGEND (G376) A Atzeni Slow to begin and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 4 TACTICAL COMMAND (H197) L Ferraris Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

The performance of TACTICAL COMMAND, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, TACTICAL COMMAND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 6 DASHING GLORY (G397) H T Mo Jumped only fairly.

H T Mo pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 250 Metres (see BRILLIANT PIONEER).

Horse No 7 GREAT DAYS (H119) A Hamelin A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 COPARTNER ERA (C534) K C Leung From the 400 Metres until approaching the 150 Metres was held up for clear running where it shifted to the inside of DRAGON DELIGHT to secure clear running.

Horse No 9 BRILLIANT PIONEER (G255) K Teetan H T Mo (DASHING GLORY) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 250 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of BRILLIANT PIONEER, resulting in BRILLIANT PIONEER losing its rightful running and being checked.

H T Mo was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 24 January 2024 at Sha Tin.

In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 EAGLE RUN (G415) H Bentley Jumped awkwardly.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position and raced keenly.

Horse No 11 NOIR RIDER (E138) K De Melo When questioned, K De Melo stated that with his mount stepping up to 1400 Metres today, he was asked to take up a forward position.

He said NOIR RIDER jumped only fairly and he made use of his mount to take up a position outside the lead in the early stages.

Assistant Trainer M W Leung confirmed the instructions issued.
