Emily Ratajkowski Talks Life After Split From Husband in Candid TikTok Video
Emily Ratajkowski is calling all the single ladies to join her in her best era yet.
In a new video shared on TikTok, the model gets candid about her split from husband Sebastian Bear-McClard and how she has been feeling about herself and her life since.
“So it seems that a lot of ladies are getting divorced before they turn 30, and as someone who got married at 26, has been separated for a little over a year—[I’m] 32—I have to tell you: I don’t think there’s anything better,” EmRata begins.
She explains that, in her opinion, “Being in your 20s is the trenches” and “There is nothing better than being in your 30s, still being hot, maybe having a little bit of your own money, figuring out what you wanna do with your life.”
The My Body author says that by then, those who’ve been married have “tried that married fantasy” and possibly realized that “maybe not all it’s cracked up to be—and then, you got your whole life still ahead of you.”
“So, for all of those people who are … feeling stressed about that, about being divorced, like, it’s good,” Ratajkowski concludes. “Congratulations, congratulations.”
Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard married in 2018 after years of being friends, and welcomed son Sylvester Apollo on March 8, 2021. Following reports of infidelity, Ratajkowski and the film producer broke things off in July 2022.
For her Harper’s Bazaar’s November 2022 cover story, the model and writer got real about being single for the first time in a while following the breakup. “I can tell you that I have never been single before,” she said. “I feel all the emotions. I feel anger, sadness. I feel excitement. I feel joy. I feel levity. Every day is different. The only good thing I know is that I’m feeling all those things, which is nice because it makes me believe that I’ll be okay.”
